Paris, January 2025

The first time I went to Paris, I had a list of places I wanted to see. The classics. The iconic spots. The ones that show up in every travel guide. But I was also open to being surprised.

To wandering without much of a plan and seeing what I stumbled upon. That’s how I ended up in Le Marais and, almost by accident, walked into Dover Street Market.

My relationship with fashion and the creative world has always been deeply intuitive. I often discover things first and only later learn what they are or who’s behind them. Sometimes that means I miss a few references. Other times, like this, it makes the experience even more special.

I walked in with no expectations

The space, spread across three floors, blends industrial architecture with installations, objects, and fashion in a way that feels more like an exhibition than a store. Every corner made me want to slow down and take it all in.

Many of the brands I photographed that day were completely new to me. I didn’t know the designers or the stories behind them. But it didn’t matter. I was drawn to them anyway. By their aesthetic, their shapes, and the way everything was presented.

That day reminded me of something I still try to practice: wandering without a destination.

Whether I’m traveling or simply walking around my own city. Some of the best discoveries happen when you’re not looking for them.

And most importantly, never losing the ability to be amazed.
